Together for the Common Good is rooted in the celebrated relationship between church leaders who worked together for the good of their city in a time of social, economic and political division. In Liverpool a generation ago, Anglican Bishop David Sheppard and Roman Catholic Archbishop Derek Worlock forged a twenty year partnership, along with Free Church leaders. They worked together alongside communities, and were involved in many initiatives that benefited the city, establishing a model where churches play a constructive role in society.
