Catholic Social Teaching and Politics

As the UK approaches a General Election, how should Christians prepare, and how should they think about politics?

This webinar features a conversation between Clifford Longley, journalist and leader writer for The Tablet, Anna Rowlands, St Hilda Professor of Catholic Social Thought and Practice at Durham University, and Jenny Sinclair, founder and director, Together for the Common Good. The webinar is chaired by Raymond Friel, chief executive of the Caritas Social Action Network.

The panel explore together how Catholic Social Teaching can inform a thoughtful response to politics and to the 2024 General Election in particular. The webinar was designed for Catholics but the discussion is relevant and helpful for all Christians, so we are delighted to share it here.

The webinar was held on 18 April 2024 and hosted by The Tablet and Pastoral Review.
